I found this site, and it has some awesome tools for making your own budget.  I highly recommend checking out the percent guides (pdf files).  They give a breakdown of how much you make, and how much of that will be taken out for taxes based on family size.  Its a christian based site, so they have a 10% tithe taken out of the gross, and just knowing the percentage that I should estimate to be taken out for taxes is a good thing.

I found the percent breakdown really useful for figuring out things like how much I should be spending on groceries, and how much I should be spending on recreation.  Also note, all child care and tuition amounts are not included in the 100% total, but if you are like me, some of the other categories don’t quite total up to the allotted amount so money can be allocated to this category rather easily.
